Most likely you heard about Encounter from a friend, and you may be wondering "what in the world is this guy so excited about?" or, "What am I getting myself into?" These are great and very understandable questions. The best way to learn about what Encounter is all about is to sign up and attend! But, we'll try to answer as many questions as we can well before we're under way.

The short answer is this: Encounter is a weekend to get away from the stress, distractions and boredom of every day life and be in an environment where we are more likely to hear from God... to meet Him... to Encounter Him. That's our goal. Otherwise, the rules are pretty simple. There aren't many. Encounter is way more about freedom than it is rules. During the weekend, we'll sing some worship songs, hear some guys tell their stories of victory, hear some Bible teaching, and have some time for prayer and reflection. During Encounter, you can be as social or quiet as you wish.  You will not be forced to do or say anything that you do not wish to do or say! Participation in all events at Encounter is %100 voluntary!

The Men’s Encounter is organized by men and for men.  We come from all walks of life, different parts of the state (even different parts of the country), different denominations. We realize that many of you come from varying backgrounds of faith, and some come with no faith at all. The only requirement is, of course, that you are a man... with a willingness to listen.  And, while there will be a sizeable group in attendance, Encounter is primarily an individual and personal experience.  It's about you and God... And what takes place during the weekend is between you and Him.  We believe that He has a gift or message uniquely for you. Hope to see you there!

We will return by bus to Crossroads Christian Church SUNDAY AFTERNOON @ 5:30 PM. Shortly after gathering all your belongings, you will be dismissed. 

Cost/Payment

Cost for the Encounter Weekend is $120.00  While there is a registration charge, don't let the cost stop you. We have never had to turn any first time attender away because they could not afford to pay the Encounter tuition. Go ahead and sign up (select "pay by check") After you have completed the registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Included in that email will be a link to the Scholorship Request Form. We'll get you a scholarship if at all possible.

What To Bring

• Bedding for a Twin. (sleeping bag or other bedding including a pillow)
• Towel(s) 
• Toiletries (deoderant, soap, shampoo, etc. )
• Comfy shoes and clothes -- weather appropriate.
• Might want/need a flashlight and earplugs (Dudes snore, man. What can we say!) 
• A Bible (don't pack it... keep it with you at registration).
